Points for Donation

Points for Donation (PFD) is a redeemable reward in the BSG Rewards Program that aims to highlight and support organizations that empower and elevate the Black Community. 

The PFD initiative was first introduced to the program in February 2021 to celebrate Black History Month and has since been made a permanent addition as part of BSG's ongoing support for equality and to end racial injustice. 

Points For Donation allows customer to turn their BSG points to a $5 charitable donation. Bio Seaweed Gel will also top up an additional $1 for every customer donation made. All proceeds will go to the featured organization or charity, which rotates on a semi-annual basis. 

Since its inception we have featured organizations such as Black Women In Motion, the National CARES Mentoring Movement, CEE: Centre for Young Black Professionals as the recipient of our donations.

Starting, from 04.18.22, the featured organization is:

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF COLORED PEOPLE

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is the largest and longest standing leaders in the fight for civil rights and social justice for people of colour. 

With over 2+ million members and 112 years of experience, they have proven and continue to make changes and impact to build political, social and economic power to end racial hatred, racial discrimination and racial injustice.

HOW TO REDEEM POINTS FOR DONATION

1. Log in to your BSG account online or create a new account.

2. Once logged in, click on the bottom left tab 'BSG Rewards Program' and click on 'Use Points'. Here you will see a list of rewards you may redeem.

3. Click 'Get Code' for the '$5 Off Points for Donation' reward. 100 points will be deducted and a unique discount code will be generated.

100 Points = $5 Donation + $1 from BSG

4. Add the item 'Points for Donation' to your cart and enter the discount code obtained in Step 3 at checkout. 

5. Continue to payment and click 'Complete Order'. There is no additional purchase or shipping required.
